Concrete Nature is a creative studio based in Glasgow.

Our story

Concrete Nature is an environmentally conscious creative studio based in Glasgow, Scotland. Launched in 2020 by French designer Clementine Carriere, Concrete Nature explores design, nature and sustainability through educational, curatorial and publishing practices.

What inspires us

The studio's work is inspired by nature, design, architecture, art, cinema and literature. Our work brings together the geometric shapes and textures of the man-made world and the organic form and colourfulness of the natural world.

We focus on producing small batch and limited editions printed matter and experimental goods to allow us to keep on experimenting while also limiting waste.

Did you know we also run creative workshops? Follow us on eventbrite or sign up to the newsletter to stay in the loop and book a ticket for any of our upcoming event.

Risograph printing

Our limited edition prints, publications and stationery are produced using a risograph printer. Often called “digital screen printing”, risograph printing uses rich spot colours and stencil to create beautifully textured and vibrant work.

Risograph printing is not only a great way to produce stunning prints, it is also environmentally friendly. Risograph printers are energy efficient, generate minimal waste, and use non-toxic soy-based inks and stencils made from plant fibres.

People + the planet

The studio thrives to positively impact both people and the environment. From the production method we select to the packaging we use, every single aspect of what we do is led by our desire to minimise our impact on the environment and by extension yours. You can learn more the ways in which we do that by reading our dedicated sustainability page.

Since launching, we have also donated to selected organisations including Refuweegee, Mermaids, The Calvert Trust and The Trussell Trust.
